This is the Marimite Project, which is a fansite dedicated to information and media about Maria-Sama ga Miteru.

The purpose for this site is simple: to be the number one place where Maria Sama ga Miteru fans use as their reference.

What is Marimite?

"Marimite" is the short name for Maria-Sama ga Miteru.

Maria-Sama ga Miteru means:
In English: The Virgin Mary is Watching.
In Japanese: マリア様がみてる.
In French: La Vierge Marie Vous Regarde.

Maria-Sama ga Miteru originally started as a light novel by Oyuki Konno.

The series has been adapted into a manga, and three series of anime (with a fourth series coming soon).
There are also other media such as drama CDs, and DVD omakes.

The light novels and manga are published by Shueisha (株式会社集英社), whereas the anime series was developed by Studio Deen (株式会社スタジオディーン).
Marimite is often classified as Yuri (lesbian), Shoujo-Ai (girls-love), or Class-S (emotional bonds between girls).
